Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative has restored 97% of members as of this afternoon, with approximately 450 additional members restored since the last update.
Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative crews, supplemented by contractors and mutual aid partners, successfully restored roughly 1,500 members throughout the island on Thursday evening; including more than 1,000 in Kīlauea and surrounding areas. This brings Kaua‘i to 95% restored as of today.
Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative crews, supplemented by contractors and mutual aid partners, continue to address outages across the island, with more than 90% of members restored since Hurricane Lowell hit 10 days ago.
Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative and its contractor Premium Construction, along with crews from Hawaiian Electric Company, restored most members in Princeville and some members in Hanalei last night around 11:00 pm. Roughly 3,200 members were re-energized during that operation, bringing the island to 91% restoration.
Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative restored power to approximately 300 additional customers over the past 24 hours as crews continue working across the island to repair damage caused by Hurricane Lowell.
