Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Program
Participation is subject to availability of program funds. Rebates are processed on a "First-Come, First-Served" basis. Rebates are available only for Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH) that are Energy Star Certified. KIUC believes that heat pumps use technology which should be supported from a conservation of energy standpoint, but disclaims any specific performance, including but not limited to any particular savings or investment pay out which it leaves to others.

By signing this Waiver of Liability/Agreement & Disclaimer Clause, I certify that I have read, understand, and I agree to the Program Eligibility Requirements as described in this application. I understand and agree that program participation is based on a "First-Come, First Served" basis, and that once the maximum number of participants, for each program year has been reached Kauai Island utility Cooperative (KIUC) is not obligated to pay rebate incentives for any additional heat pump water heating ysstems, even if I meet all program requirements. I understand that the funding for this program is limited, and that submitting this application to KIUC does not qualify me or guarantee my participation in this program. Finally, I understand that Kauai Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) makes no warranty, expressed or implied, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of the installation of any energy saving devices, including but not limited to equipment purchased and installed with this Heat Pump Water Heating program, and do not warrant or guarantee that any specific energy savings will result. By signing this Waiver of Liability and Agreement & Disclaimer Clause, I waive any and all claims of any nature I may now have or have in the future against KIUC, its employees, officers, directors, and agents arising out of this heat pump water heating program unless caused by KIUC's gross negligence.
