KIUC Website SHiNEs Online with Redesign

Līhu‘e, HI - Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) has launched a redesigned website with updated cybersecurity, accessibility and design features using the SHiNE platform from Touchstone Energy Cooperative. 

“This redesign offers improved cybersecurity protections and accessibility for our members, and will continue to hold the same information as our previous website,” said Beth Amaro, KIUC’s Member Services and Communications Manager. “Members will still be able to access our outage center and map, online payment, forms and important documents about our cooperative at www.kiuc.coop.” 

KIUC’s website redesign was supported by Touchstone Energy, which provides the web platform to hundreds of electric cooperatives like KIUC. “As one of more than 900 electric cooperatives across the country, KIUC can take advantage of that collective purchasing power and access services such as website design at a very reasonable cost,” said Amaro.

A new feature is an online form organizations can use to request KIUC presentations or field trips to KIUC facilities. In 2024, KIUC’s outreach efforts included more than 14 in-person school events around Kauaʻi. A link for submitting requests can be found on the home page of KIUC’s website.
