Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) has now restored power to approximately 82% of it's customers.

Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative was able to restore approximately 1,800 additional customers over the past 24 hours.

Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative was able to restore more than 12,000 additional customers over the past 24 hours in portions of Anahola, Kapa‘a, Wailua, Līhu‘e, and Po‘ipū.

Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative was able to restore more than 5,000 customers as of 4:30 pm today in portions of Kapa‘a, Līhu‘e, Kōloa, Po‘ipū, Waimea and Kapaa. Both Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital and Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital are energized, and crews are working to energize Wilcox Medical Center this evening.

Approximately 33,000 member accounts remain without power as damage assessments begin across Kauaʻi

Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative was able to restore 466 members in ‘Ele‘ele and Hanapēpē today, while damage assessment crews conducted an initial sweep of transmission line inspections with the assistance of drone technology.

KIUC is preparing for potential impacts from Hurricane Lowell over the Labor Day weekend.
